Abstract
1. The most common baseline fetal heart rate was normocardia. 2. Types of periodic fetal heart rate change were no changes 29 cases (37.6%) early deceleration 26 cases (33.8%) variable deceleration 11 cases (14.2%) and late deceleration 9 cases (11.7%). 3. Apgar score below 6 as prediction of fetal condition with monitoring was all patients 11 cases (13.0%) late deceleration 3 cases (36.9%) variable deceleration 3cases (27.3%) early deceleration 2 cases (7.7%) and no changes 2 cases (6.9%). 4. Coincidence of late deceleration and clinical conditions of patients were toxemia 3 cases, use of oxytocin 2 cases, cord complications 2 cases, postmaturity 1 cases and amnionitis 1 case. 5. Comparison of fetal heart rate patterns and Apgar score between patients monitored electively and indicatively was no sighnificant differences 6. Chief causes of variable deceleration were cord compression 9 cases postmaturity 1 case and preeclampsia 1 case. 7. Sighnificance of late deceleration between patients monitored electively and indicatively was not found. 8. Relationship between station and fetal rate patterns with monitoring was that no changes and late deceleration did not alters, but early deceleration and variable deceleration were increased during labor.
